Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going to appear in
major-screen comedies like 'Elf' "Anchorman," and Talladega Nights.
Will Ferrell was born in Irvine, California in 1967. He began his comedy career
by playing an actor for the improv troupe based in Los Angeles, the group, the
Groundlings. Following his seven years as a Saturday night Live cast member,
Ferrell became one of the most well-known comedic actors in the industry by
releasing off-color films such as Old School (2003) or Anchorman: The Legend of
Ron Burgundy (2004). Ferrell is also co-creator of the popular video streaming
site Funny or Die, and enjoyed success as a voiceover actor in animated films
such as Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was born on July 16, 1967, in
Irvine, California. The oldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee
Ferrell and teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own admissions--not the class
clown when he was when he was a student at University High School. Ferrell who
was quiet and reserved decided to leave his mark in football and set records
for the number of field goals that he made. Ferrell was not a fan of the
absurd, humorous behaviour that would define his career, even in the suburban
house he lived in. His mother who was interviewed by Esquire she said that her
son was very pleasant and kind. "You do you know those little Matchbox
cars? Will put together his Matchbox cars by himself and be completely
satisfied. It would be a simple question "Do you wish to visit Disneyland
today?" or "You want your cars lined up?" This would be a tough
conversation for him to contemplate. Ferrell was not a perfectly straight man
but that's not to say he was not. As he delivered his regular announcements using
the PA system, a glimpse into his comedy talents was revealed every morning in
high school. Ferrell earned his degree from the University of Southern
California, Los Angeles in 1986. He was a member of Delta Tau fraternity, and
completed a degree in sports journalism.
