Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in Ireland on November 11, 1966. She is a model as well as an Irish actress. Her feature film debut was a tiny part in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donavan played the role featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte played Taffin (in 1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody started modelling when she was approached. The result was that it turned out to be a profitable career. Doody was very determined not to do glamour or nude work. The same rule continued into her acting career. When she came to the director's attention for the role in a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was in John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She was one of twelve promising young actors for the year 1986. 38. Doody was just 18 years old at the time of her appearance in the Bond part. To date, she is the youngest Bond girl. Another film from her early days was a small part as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that featured Mickey Rourke. Doody had a non-speaking role in the 1987 TV version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in his dream. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The first time she appeared was in the 1988 movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In 1991 Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokeswoman. She went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent in Major League II. Doody's first appearance on the big screen came in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. in 2004, Doody starred in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody shot a part in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Then, she appeared on RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to appear in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
