Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan, born on March 23, 1976, is an American actress. She is most well-known for her roles in Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). Her lead role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her praise. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. She was also a character on Sarah Lane on the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after only one season. Monaghan was born to Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Bob and John are her brothers older than her. Monaghan is mostly of Irish and German roots and was raised Catholic.She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1994. After graduation, she moved to Chicago to study journalism and later began modeling. Models have also appeared in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore as well as in the United States. In 1999, she only had only one semester remaining to finish her journalism degree. She then moved to New York to pursue an acting career. She became a model and appeared in a variety of catalogs and magazines prior to beginning her acting career. Monaghan's two first television credits, as a support character, were for episodes of Young Americans in 2000. She also performed on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in "Consent" the episode that aired on January 19, 2001, and she made her first big-screen appearance that same year in Perfume, playing the part of Henrietta. She was a second actor in a supporting role in Unfaithful in 2002, which starred Richard Gere, Diane Lane and other.
