Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in pop music. The group was formed in 2009. The group
consists of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow and also Logan Henderson and
Carlos PenaVega. They signed initially with Nick Records in 2009. Then,
Columbia Records transferred them to their new label. The group was featured on
Nickelodeon's television show Big Time Rush. The show ran from November 28,
2009 through July 25 the 25th of July, 2013. The pilot episode featured the
group's first promo single, "Big Time Rush". The band released three
studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate in 2011 as well as 24/7 in 2013. The
group went on an indefinite hiatus in the year 2014 which lasted until 2021,
when the band resumed live performances and released their single "Call It
Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush to a recording deal in
2009, concurrently with the tv show, Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon has also teamed
up with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and music that is original.
The debut single, "Big Time Rush" appeared on the series on the 29th
of November, 2009. The song was officially revealed on Nickelodeon The song
premiered in the U.S. November 2009 and was later broadcast worldwide. It
debuted during a one-hour special trailer for the series and it is currently
the show's theme for opening. The show also saw release of promotional singles,
including "City is Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time
Rush also covered the Play song titled "Famous". The song was
released on iTunes on June 29th 2010. Another song, "Halfway There",
was released to iTunes on April 27, 2010 after its premiere on the show. The
song quickly became the band's first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100,
peaking at number 93 thanks to sales on digital. To promote the release of
their debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget about You"
on the 21st of September 2010. On October 11, 2010 the album, which was titled
BTR, was made available to the public. The album peaked at number 3 on Billboard
200 and sold 67,000 copies within the first week.
